Senior Commercial Manager – West London - 12 Months - Up to £600 per day (DOE)\n\nWe are seeking an experienced and proactive Senior Commercial Manager to work on a prestigious rail project based in West London.\n\nOur client is a well established company, who deliver mechanical and electrical engineering expertise on large scale infrastructure projects in the UK.\n\nThe ideal individual will work within their commercial team with specific focus to lead on Commercial Management of change, value engineering, optioneering, mitigation strategies measures and controls.\n\nThis is a 12 month contract, offering a competitive daily rate of up to £600 per day (DOE).\n\nThe role is an integral part of the project Commercial team and will manage and lead the Commercial Management Change process working closely and collaboratively with the wider technical and construction delivery teams.  The SCM/CM (Change Lead) will hold key responsibilities associated with the commercial and financial success of the project, ensuring that all change, value engineering and optioneering related opportunities are maximised and secured including full agreement with client stakeholders.\n\nKey Responsibilities:\n\nNEC3 Option C Contract management and administration.\n\t\nCommercial reporting associated with change management.\n\t\nEstablish and manage entitlement, with key focus on gaining full entitlement under the terms of the subcontract.\n\t\nMeasurement and Compensation Event Quotation development and pricing through to formal quotation submission.\n\t\nAssessment of change impacts against the program.\n\t\nDevelopment, management, and reporting of project change metrics and dashboards.\n\t\nLiaison and negotiation with the customer’s commercial and/or project team.\n\t\nEstablishing and maintaining productive and collaborative relationships with relevant internal and external stakeholders.\n\t\nAdvise and assisting the Commercial, Technical and Construction Delivery teams with the implementation of the commercial procedures and reporting to ensure compliance with contract requirements.\n\t\nEnsure appropriate commercial records are maintained in line with the contract requirements and oversee any contractual issues.\n\t\nManage and lead all Change Management meetings.\n\t\nManage and lead relevant Risk Reduction meetings.\n\t\nInvestigate and draft contract communications and notices including Early Warning Notices, notification of Compensation Events, General Communications\n\t\nProvide contractual and commercial risk advice to the Commercial team and wider Technical and Construction Delivery teams.\n\t\nAs required by the Commercial Project Director, manage, monitor and report on commercial and cost reporting aspects of allocated projects and portfolio of works.\n\t\nAs required by the Commercial Project Director, support the programme and project teams to ensure full compliance with contract and corporate governance rules.\n\nDesired Specification \n\nDegree qualified or equivalent in construction commercial management.\n\t\nExperience working on major complex building and MEP works.\n\t\nNEC3 Contract knowledge and experience.\n\t\nExperience in managing others and working in large teams.\n\t\nExcellent organisational and leadership skills.\n\t\nExcellent attention to detail\n\t\nExcellent communication and negotiation skills\n\t\nCollaborative approach to both internal and external stakeholders.\n\t\nFlexible, ‘can do’ attitude in a fast-paced environment with a hands-on approach\n\t\nExcellent verbal & written skills at a technical level. \n\t\nClaims and dispute resolution working experience.\n\t\nGood experience of UK law.\n\t\nGood presentation and MS Excel skills\n\t\nBe able to motivate others and provide training where necessary.\n\t\nExcellent communication and customer-facing skills, along with working as part of a team promoting their culture and values.\n\nFor more information regarding the above role, please contact Stephen Tiigah – (url removed)
