You will be responsible for the commercial management of the Engineering and Commissioning business sub-segments (more than 700 employees) within the ‘Mobility Rolling Stock’ business unit in the Locomotives & Coaches (LMC) business segment. You will manage the commercial teams (7 employees) of the two departments and report to the commercial segment management. Your employees will be based at the Erlangen and Munich-Allach sites. You will be responsible for all commercial tasks and processes and ensure their continuous development. As a commercial ‘sparring partner’ for the technical management, you will keep a close eye on the commercial principles in addition to the business segment strategy. You are responsible for the Digi Hub for the LMC, which drives digitalisation in terms of robotics, dashboards and Mendix applications. You are responsible for coordinating the R&D process. You actively manage the external commissioning partners, including negotiations regarding prices and performance. You ensure the necessary transparency of current offers, projects and ensure the economic KPIs. You are responsible for the budget, end-of-year and forecast process. In addition, you are a role model in terms of workforce transformation (agile development to FIN - job profile of the future) and in the use of innovative BI technologies and AI solutions. What do you bring along? The basis for your success is a successfully completed degree in business administration or equivalent training with several years of professional experience. You also have many years of professional experience in a commercial management role (e.g. in a controlling, line function or project management), ideally in the rail vehicle industry or similar sectors. You have gained intercultural experience in international cooperation. You have very good experience with reporting tools (Dash applications, Smart Reporting, SAC, etc.) and SAP as well as data preparation and visualisation software. You also have a comprehensive understanding of commercial cause-and-effect principles as well as a high level of analysis and evaluation skills. You communicate openly, are a real team player and have experience in moderating and presenting. Experience in managing employees is desirable. For your role, you will have a very good command of English, a good command of German (at least B2) and a willingness to travel (approx. 20%). What do we offer you?
