Harrison Gray Search has partnered with a leading insurance firm to identify an experienced Commercial Lines Account Manager.This is a client-facing, service-driven role focused on managing and growing a book of small business commercial accounts (approximately 250 accounts).
Key Responsibilities
- Meet the insurance needs of internal teams and clients for small business accounts.
- Deliver prompt, courteous service to clients, team members, carrier, and broker partners to retain and expand the commercial lines book of business.
- Monitor monthly expiration lists and proactively follow up on all assigned accounts.
- Review existing accounts for supplemental coverage and manage renewals as appropriate.
- Maintain professional relationships with clients, co-workers, and company personnel.
- Prepare complete and accurate applications using the agency management system.
- Utilize company website portals for quoting, policy changes, and monitoring policy activities.
- Maintain up-to-date customer files (electronic and paper) in Applied/EPIC.
- Adhere to department policies and procedures, prioritizing work according to established guidelines.
- Complete various duties and special projects as assigned.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of experience managing commercial small business accounts.
- Active Property and Casualty license and ability to meet bonding requirements.
- CISR professional designation .
- Ability to understand, review, and analyze insurance forms and policies for accuracy.
- Strong mathematical skills and ability to rate insurance policies.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Ability to work scheduled hours and additional time as needed.

Additional Details
- Location:In-person in Indian River, Harbor Springs, Kingsley, or Grand Rapids, Michigan.
- Hours:8:00am5:00pm MondayThursday; 8:00am4:30pm Friday (Memorial Day through Labor Day, Friday hours end at 4:00pm).
- Reporting:Reports to the Chief of Planning and Operations.
- Impact:Primary responsibility is to provide superior customer service, directly affecting client satisfaction and retention. No budgetary authority or direct reports.
