Job DescriptionJob DescriptionCommercial Lines Account Manager needed for growing agency in Houston. Our client is seeking an experienced Commercial Lines Account Manager to service and manage a book of business consisting of small to middle market accounts.
Generalist book of business, looking for candidates with a minimum of 3-5 years of commercial account management experience in a retail agency setting.
Will serve as the direct point of contact to handle client issues and concerns and provide appropriate solutions and alternatives. Highly skilled and motivated Commercial Account Managers are strongly encouraged to apply.
Position is in office for 90 days, then could be hybrid, 2 days in office, 3 days work from home. 
Key Responsibilities
- Serve as the direct point of contact to handle client issues and concerns
- Generates cross-sales, closes inbound leads, and asks for referrals to grow the agency’s client base
- Maintains client retention by researching and resolving problems, reviewing accounts regularly with clients, and recommending coverage enhancements or modifications to protect client clients and their assets better
- Maintains and grows knowledge in commercial lines of insurance
- Prepares and processes quotes, applications, endorsements, payments, and inquiries in line with the company and carrier policy and procedures
- Assesses client needs and reviews renewals annually, identifying coverage gaps to mitigate client’s risk exposure
- Responds to client inquiries and requests related to insurance products promptly
- Researches and resolves complex customer service issues, making recommendations to place coverage
- Determines client needs by analyzing current coverages and ascertaining long-term needs and potential coverage gaps
 
Qualification & Skills
- 2+ years of Commercial Lines experience
- Knowledge of various rating platforms
- Strong knowledge of commercial policies, coverages, and risk assessment
- E&S experience, including Statement of Values, Acords, and have worked with wholesalers and the E&S market before
- Experience with agency management software
- Ability to cross-sell and identify new business opportunities
- Excellent communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills

- Competitive base salary (up to $70k for top candidates)
- 15% annual bonus, paid out quarterly, eligible after 90 days
