Job Description

Marble Talent Group is currently recruiting on behalf of our client, a well-established company in the facilities management sector, who is seeking a skilled and experienced Commercial Gas Engineer to join their team based in Nottingham\n\nRole Overview\n\nAs a Commercial Gas Engineer, you will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, and servicing of commercial heating systems and gas appliances across various client sites. Our client provides high-quality services to a wide range of commercial properties, including office buildings, retail outlets, and industrial sites. This is a great opportunity for an experienced engineer to work within a supportive and dynamic environment.\n\nKey Responsibilities\n\n * \n\n Install, maintain, and repair commercial gas systems and appliances.\n\n * \n\n Conduct annual safety checks and ensure full compliance with relevant gas regulations, including Gas Safe requirements.\n\n * \n\n Diagnose and troubleshoot issues with commercial heating systems and resolve faults quickly and efficiently.\n\n * \n\n Deliver high levels of customer service, offering clients expert advice and solutions.\n\n * \n\n Work with a wide range of commercial gas systems, including boilers, water heaters, and catering equipment.\n\n * \n\n Ensure that all relevant documentation, including service reports and compliance certificates, are completed accurately and on time.\n\n * \n\n Be available for emergency call-outs and respond quickly to resolve issues when required.\n\n * \n\n Collaborate with clients, site managers, and colleagues to ensure work is completed to a high standard.\n\n * \n\n Keep up to date with industry standards and regulations, attending relevant training as needed.\n\nEssential Skills & Qualifications\n\n * \n\n Gas Safe Registered (Commercial and Domestic).\n\n * \n\n Commercial Gas Qualifications (CIGA1, ICPN1, TPCP1, COCN1, etc.).\n\n * \n\n Proven experience working as a Commercial Gas Engineer or in a similar role.\n\n * \n\n Full UK driving license.\n\n * \n\n Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting skills.\n\n * \n\n Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.\n\n * \n\n Excellent communication skills and customer-focused attitude.\n\n * \n\n Ability to work efficiently under pressure, particularly in emergency situations.\n\n * \n\n A proactive approach to health and safety, ensuring compliance with relevant standards.\n\nDesirable Skills\n\n * \n\n Additional qualifications in HVAC systems or renewable energy.\n\n * \n\n Experience working with commercial catering equipment (e.g., ovens, cookers).\n\n * \n\n Previous experience in facilities management or working with building management systems.\n\nBenefits\n\n * \n\n Competitive salary based on experience.\n\n * \n\n Company van, fuel card, and tools provided.\n\n * \n\n Ongoing professional development and training opportunities.\n\n * \n\n 28 days holiday (inclusive of bank holidays).\n\n * \n\n Pension scheme.\n\n * \n\n Mobile phone and tablet provided for work use.\n\n * \n\n Opportunities for overtime and career progression.\n\nAbout Marble Talent\nAs engineering recruitment specialists, we pride ourselves on the ability to turn aspiring candidates at the beginning, middle or towards the end of their engineering careers into successful, professional engineers place at the right companies.
