We’re seeking a skilled and motivated Commercial Electrical Lead to be the right-hand man to our Electrical Foreman on a ground-up restaurant build in Laurel, MD. This is a long-term project with the potential for continued work on future builds.
As the Electrical Lead, you’ll play a key role in managing day-to-day operations, ensuring clear communication between the field and office, and handling leadership and administrative responsibilities when the Foreman is off-site.
Responsibilities:
- Support the Electrical Foreman in coordinating and leading daily jobsite activities.
- Act as the primary point of contact for the office when the Foreman is unavailable.
- Communicate material needs, scheduling updates, and progress reports.
- Lead small crews and ensure quality workmanship and safety compliance.
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical diagrams.
- Install, troubleshoot, and maintain electrical systems and components.
- Perform pipe bending (1⁄2”–4”), run MC cable, and install panels, switchgear, and lighting controls.
- Work with motor controls, low-voltage wiring, HVAC wiring, and fire alarm systems.
- Maintain and repair existing electrical infrastructure as needed.
Qualifications:
- 5+ years of experience as an Electrician in commercial construction.
- Lead or Foreman experience highly .
- Strong blueprint reading and troubleshooting skills.
- Experience with lighting/motor controls, switchgear, and low-voltage systems.
- Excellent communication and leadership abilities.
- Dependable, self-motivated, and detail-oriented.
- OSHA 10 required
- Valid Driver’s License and reliable transportation required.
