Commercial Drywall Estimator - Drywall and Metal Frame Construction - Base Salary to 140k/year - Saint Louis, MO

• Our client is a commercial drywall and metal stud framing company that has been in business over 50 years. Serving St Louis and the surrounding areas, they are a union company that takes on everything from $50k tenant finishes up to 5 million ground up medical buildings.
• In this role, the Commercial Drywall Estimator will be responsible for compiling estimates and performing material and labor takeoffs for commercial drywall and metal stud framing projects. This will involve working both in the office (located near the airport) and in the field, including going on job site walks for meetings and consultations with owners. They are looking for a professional Estimator with experience in the commercial drywall / metal stud framing trade. Must be able to work in-office in St Louis, out-of-state candidates considered if willing to relocate.

Responsibilities:

• Review and analyze blueprints, specs, proposals, and other documentation
• Calculate accurate labor, equipment, and material costs for commercial drywall and metal stud framing jobs
• Prepare time, cost, and labor estimates for products, projects, and services
• Build and maintain strong client relationships through on site visits and regular communication
• Prepare project documents, client information, project schedules and other documentation for use by Project Managers and other stakeholders
• Travel to job sites (10-20%) for site walks and meetings with owners
• Work out of the office in Saint Louis, MO

Qualifications:

• 5+ years Estimating experience in commercial drywall / metal stud frame construction is required
• Must be able to work full time out of the St Louis office (near the airport)
• Proficiency in Excel and Estimating software required, OST and Edge
• Ability to coordinate with other Estimator and PMs to ensure project completion
• Ability to net/sell 4 – 8 million worth of work a year
• Must be able to read, analyze, and interpret plans and specifications relative to the scope of work and schedule specified for each project within bid time frames
• Ability to travel to job sites up to 100 miles of the office

Compensation:

• Base salary in the 100k – 140k/year range
