Commercial Director required for a major Offshore Wind Developer based in The United Kingdom.\n\nResponsibilities \n\nDeveloping the Project Business Case; overseeing financial modelling, driving optimisation by liaison with technical, consents, asset package leaders and other project functions.\nCommercial (non-purchase agreements, CfD, OFTO, PPAs, Insurance, hedging, etc.\nProject Finance: ensuring the project is 'bankable', engagement of and liaison with advisors. Liaison with project finance functions in shareholder organisations.\nFinancial; overseeing the Finance Manager effecting all accounting and treasury functions.\nLeading cost control, forecasting and management systems.\nLiaison with shareholder asset managers on matters in relation to the Joint Venture Company.\nManagerial oversight of the Legal function within the project; (note the Project Counsel also has dotted line responsibility direct to the PD).\nRisk management; ensuring balanced risk proposition in the business case.\nRoute to Market strategy definition & implementation.\nEnsuring comprehensive and robust management and control systems and procedures are in place and being implemented effectively. \n\nRequirements\n\nDegree qualified in Mathematics, Engineering or other highly numerate discipline.\nExtensive experience of large scale (750MW+) Offshore Wind Farm business case development.\nExtensive experience in project commercial and finance functions in the renewable energy sector (this may include some or all of economic evaluation, deal structuring, energy markets and trading, hedging, insurance).\nGood all-round understanding of commercial, financial, business principles and risk mitigation practices.\nA good understanding and general experience of the Development, Construction and Operational phases of an offshore wind projects
