Precise Contractor is a full-service general contractor which delivers premium quality services to the commercial, retail, hotel and hospitality markets. Our team is looking for an estimator with construction experience in commercial projects. The estimator should have experience reading blueprints, quantity takeoffs, and familiarity with estimating software. This position is ideal for a self-motivated individual that works well independently and can coordinate multiple proposals through day-to-day interaction with clients and technical team leaders. As an estimator, you will be integral to Precise Contractor’s success, providing a first point of interaction with our clients and defining the services they need.

Duties and Responsibilities:

· Prepare and coordinate full estimates

· Review and evaluate vendor/subcontractor RFPs.

· Assemble estimate take-off using Planswift

· Keep a record of project leads, active bids & submitted bids.

· Keep company calendar updated on Bid Due Dates, Walkthroughs, Site Visits, etc.

· Solicit & Review sub-contractor estimates and revisions for completeness and accuracy.

· Review construction documents and understand the scope of work to bid.

· Attend site Pre-Bid walkthroughs.

· Perform field surveys (measuring, pictures, etc.) of projects to bid.

· Become a liaison between the client, subcontractors & the architect during the bid.

· Perform quantity & cost analysis for outsourced labor, material & subcontractor pricing.

· Maintaining own cost book pricing for materials and labor rates.

· Review project leads from The Blue Book

· Follow up on submitted proposals with Clients.

· Submitting bid proposals, including required support paperwork, on time.

Qualifications:

· Must have a VALID Driver’s License AND have OWN means of transportation.

· Must possess excellent communication skills, and be detail-oriented.

· Must have prior experience in construction estimating, at least 3 years.

· Must have experience with using MS Excel, MS Word, and Planswift.

· Experience working in an Architecture Firm is a Plus.

· Basic PLUMBING / ELECTRICAL / HVAC / CARPENTRY experience and/or skills are a plus.

· Own contact list of subcontractors is a plus.
