Position: Coded TIG Welder - Aluminium\nShift Pattern: Double Days\nLocation: Wolverhampton\nDuration: 2 Months, Long-term options for the right candidate\nStart Date: June 2026\nPay Rate: £38.27 per hour, 39 hours per week - £56k Salary equivalent\n--Premium Overtime for Saturday and Sundays\nPay Method: Umbrella PAYE\nIndustry: Automotive (FMCG/Warehouse/Pharmaceutical experience also considered)\n\nYou'll support the fabrication and assembly of Battery Packs, Electric Drive Units and other electrification technologies, working with lightweight aluminium components in a high-volume production environment.\n\nKey Responsibilities\n* Carry out high-quality TIG welding on aluminium components to engineering drawings and specifications.\n* Ensure weld integrity, consistency, and compliance with quality standards.\n* Prepare materials including cleaning, cutting, and fitting prior to welding.\n* Conduct visual inspections and support NDT or quality checks where required.\n* Rectify weld defects and implement corrective actions.\n* Support production targets while maintaining safety and housekeeping standards.\n* Assist with weekend/shutdown work and continuous improvement activities.\n\nSkills & Experience\n* Proven experience as a TIG Welder, with a strong focus on aluminium.\n* Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and welding symbols.\n* Experience working in a manufacturing or high-volume production environment.\n* Skilled in fabrication, joint preparation, and finishing of aluminium components.\n* Strong understanding of welding parameters, heat control, and distortion management.\n\nDesirable\n\n* Coding(or proof of previously coded)/qualifications in TIG welding (e.g. ISO 9606)\n\nPlease apply to this advert with an up-to-date CV
