Position: Coded TIG Welder - AluminiumShift Pattern: Double DaysLocation: WolverhamptonDuration: 2 Months, Long-term options for the right candidateStart Date: June 2026Pay Rate: £38.27 per hour, 39 hours per week - £56k Salary equivalent--Premium Overtime for Saturday and SundaysPay Method: Umbrella PAYEIndustry: Automotive (FMCG/Warehouse/Pharmaceutical experience also considered)You'll support the fabrication and assembly of Battery Packs, Electric Drive Units and other electrification technologies, working with lightweight aluminium components in a high-volume production environment.Key Responsibilities* Carry out high-quality TIG welding on aluminium components to engineering drawings and specifications.* Ensure weld integrity, consistency, and compliance with quality standards.* Prepare materials including cleaning, cutting, and fitting prior to welding.* Conduct visual inspections and support NDT or quality checks where required.* Rectify weld defects and implement corrective actions.* Support production targets while maintaining safety and housekeeping standards.* Assist with weekend/shutdown work and continuous improvement activities.Skills & Experience* Proven experience as a TIG Welder, with a strong focus on aluminium.* Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and welding symbols.* Experience working in a manufacturing or high-volume production environment.* Skilled in fabrication, joint preparation, and finishing of aluminium components.* Strong understanding of welding parameters, heat control, and distortion management.Desirable* Coding(or proof of previously coded)/qualifications in TIG welding (e.g. ISO 9606)Please apply to this advert with an up-to-date CV.
