The Raritan Bay Area YMCA will manage the Code Blue Warming Center for the City of Perth Amboy. The Jankowski Community Center will be an emergency shelter for those without access housing to a safe and warm space during City and State designated harsh weather conditions.
Under the supervision of the Vice President of Social Responsibility the Site Manager is responsible for providing over site of all operations and administrative functions for the Code Blue service. The Code Blue Site Manager assures safe and smooth operations of the program participants, manages/supervises staff, and collects data, while maintaining consistent communication with the referral sources and program partners
Requirements:
The Code Blue Site Manager should have an understanding of Center procedures and be willing to learn the building system and the details of the Code Blue operations. Must be able to relate to an extremely diverse population of people, be flexible and work as part of a team. Excellent interpersonal skills are required. The employee must display a professional and patient personality. The Code Blue Site Manager must be dependable at all times regarding shifts. Must be willing to take part in all trainings the supervisor sees fit including training specific to the operation of a Code Blue Center. The Code Blue Site Manager must be willing to work a flexible work schedule including weekdays/weeknights, weekends and overnights.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Oversee the smooth operations of Code Blue
- Perform administrative functions such as intakes and Coordinated Assessment and others as required
- Ensuring continuous communication/collaboration with referral source.
- Is able to communicate successfully with other community agencies.
- Supervise Center Staff
- Open Code Blue Warming Center staff by 7:00 p.m.
EDUCATION:
Position requires high school diploma or equivalent and three to five years delivering services to the public.
SKILLS:
Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from the general public. Fluency in English and Spanish required.

HOURS: On Declared days, 7:00 pm to 11:00 pm (possibly 6:00 am- 7:00 am)
