About the Opportunity
A privately held energy equipment manufacturer is expanding its Houston operations and looking for an experienced Maintenance Technician to support a busy fabrication and machining facility serving the oil & gas sector.
You’ll be part of a small, skilled maintenance team responsible for keeping CNC machinery, hydraulic systems, and production equipment running at peak performance. This is a hands-on, plant-based role supporting precision manufacturing operations that run across multiple shifts.

Key Responsibilities
- Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on CNC machines, pumps, valves, and mechanical systems throughout the facility.
- Troubleshoot hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical control issues on manufacturing and support equipment.
- Support daily plant operations — respond quickly to machine downtime and urgent repair needs.
- Collaborate with production, machining, and quality teams to minimize disruption and maintain workflow efficiency.
- Maintain accurate maintenance logs, PM records, and equipment documentation.
- Participate in safety meetings and ensure compliance with ISO and OSHA standards.
Ideal Background
- 5+ years of industrial maintenance experience in a manufacturing or machining environment (CNC, oilfield, or heavy equipment ).
- Strong working knowledge of CNC machinery (Mori Seiki, Doosan, DMG, Haas, Mazak) and Fanuc or Mitsubishi controls.
- Familiarity with hydraulic presses, pumps, and gearboxes; ability to diagnose mechanical failures.
