CNC Maintenance Technician
Location: Athens, GA
Pay Range: $23 – $40 per hour (depending on experience and level)
Job Type: Full-Time | On-Site | 24/7 Manufacturing Operation
Position Summary:
A leading precision manufacturing company is seeking CNC Maintenance Technicians at multiple levels to support operations at its 24/7 production facility. These technicians play a vital role in maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing CNC equipment and facility systems to minimize downtime and ensure optimal productivity. This is a hands-on role suited for individuals with strong mechanical aptitude and experience working with complex industrial equipment.
Key Responsibilities:

Interpret work orders, specifications, blueprints, and schematics to diagnose and resolve equipment issues

Perform preventative maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair on:

CNC machining centers (Haas, Makino, Hermle, GROB )

HVAC units, forklifts, cranes, compressors, and other facility support systems

Monitor and manage coolant and fluid levels; safely handle and store used fluids

Operate forklifts, scissor lifts, overhead cranes, and other material-handling equipment (certification required upon hire)

Maintain accurate service and maintenance records in ERP or CMMS systems

Manage parts and supplies inventory as needed

Maintain clean and organized work areas; return tools and equipment after use

Consistently follow all safety protocols and wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE)

Participate in safety training and committee activities when applicable

Communicate clearly in English and follow both verbal and written instructions

Higher-level technicians (II and III) may mentor and support junior technicians

Perform other related tasks as assigned

Regular and reliable on-site attendance is required
Experience with Haas, Makino, Hermle, and GROB machines is highly at all levels; OEM certifications are a plus.
Required Skills & Abilities:

Valid driver’s license and a clean driving record

Strong mechanical aptitude with knowledge of electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems

Skilled in reading technical drawings and schematics

Proficiency with Microsoft Office; experience with ERP or CMMS/work order systems

Effective time management, multitasking, and adaptability in fast-paced environments
