Job Summary
The position performs all maintenance, repairs and preventative maintenance functions for all CNC & Manual Mills & Lathes, machines, building, equipment and grounds. Work includes routine inspections and repair or replacement of machines, equipment and the building’s operating system.
Essential Job Duties & Responsibilities
- Repairs to shop equipment (CNC & Manual Mills & Lathes, Manual Equipment, Forklifts, Paint Booth and other support equipment)
- Schedule outside repair technicians, as needed, for complex repairs.
- Plans, schedules and implements preventative maintenance.
- Building and Grounds Maintenance.
- Assesses production schedules, to minimize downtime, for all repairs.
- Troubleshoots, diagnoses and addresses maintenance issues and requests to ensure optimal equipment performance and when necessary,
- Work with outside contractors to procure parts and services.
- Provide guidance to contractors and others regarding work required to be performed.
- Work with outside contractors/vendors with getting bids for new machines and/or improvements needed for maintenance/building and continue working with them until project has been completed.
- Ensure complete documentation of annual inspections/certifications, regulatory requirements, service to all equipment and repairs (i.e., annual crane inspections, certifications of welders, sprinklers, alarms, EPA, etc.).
- Make regular suggestions for safety process improvements to support continuous improvement (i.e., member of the safety committee, annual review of Lock-Out Tag-Out Procedures, etc.)
- Submit requisitions to Purchasing for parts, oils, lubricants, materials, cleaning supplies, etc.
- Keep maintenance room clean and organized. Create an inventory list of maintenance parts and keep up-to-date.
- Perform other tasks as warranted or assigned by management.
Minimum Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Five years of experience in repair & maintenance of CNC and Manual machinery using a variety of hand tools & diagnostic equipment.
- Knowledge of CNC and Manual machines – mills and lathes.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints.
- Ability to perform basic mathematical computations including the ability to apply concepts such as fractions, addition, subtraction, division, percentages & ratios proportions to practical situations.
- Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
- Ability to communicate with both internal and external customers characterized by honest, professional, respectful communication (verbally & in writing) and effective listening skills.
- Fluency in English verbal and written communication.
- Ability to work efficiently and accurately and be self-sufficient.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, time-sensitive environment.
- Self-starter and ability to work well with others.
- Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts and draw valid conclusions.
- Ability to be self-sufficient, multi-task and problem solve.
- Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
Desirable Qualifications
- Associate Degree or Bachelor’s Degree in related field.
- Familiarity with ISO standards.

Pay: $30.00 - $40.00 per hour
