CNC Field Service Technician – Northeast Region

Mathews Machinery Solutions LLC (MMS) is a rapidly growing CNC service and support company specializing in precision grinding and turning equipment. We provide expert service and technical support for leading European and Swiss machine tool brands including Kellenberger, Studer, Voumard, Usach, Supertec, and Hauser.

We are seeking an experienced CNC Field Service Technician to support customers throughout the Northeast region (primarily Pennsylvania and New York). This position is ideal for a self-motivated professional with strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills who enjoys travel and direct customer interaction.

Position Overview

• Install, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain CNC grinding and turning equipment.
• Diagnose mechanical, electrical, servo, spindle, and PLC-related issues.
• Perform preventive maintenance and machine alignments.
• Read and interpret electrical schematics and mechanical drawings.
• Provide clear service documentation and communication with customers.
• Travel throughout the Northeast region (estimated 60–80% travel).

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of CNC troubleshooting and repair experience.
• Strong mechanical and electrical diagnostic skills.
• Experience with grinding or precision machine tools .
• Ability to read and interpret electrical and mechanical schematics.
• Knowledge of PLC systems and CNC controls (Fanuc experience a plus).
• Excellent customer service and communication skills.
• Willingness to travel extensively.

Education

: Associate degree in Electronic Technology, Machine Tool Technology, Mechatronics, or related field. Equivalent experience will be considered.
