CNC Engineering Guru

Job DescriptionJob Description

CNC Engineering Guru – $25–$35/hour (based on experience)

1st shift

Do you love the HUM of a CNC machine, the challenge of dialing in perfect toolpaths, and the satisfaction of seeing your work come to life? We’re looking for a CNC Engineering Guru who’s equal parts engineer, operator, and innovator.

This is a hands-on role where you’ll program, set up, and run CNCs while also developing and refining processes that push the boundaries of what’s possible. You’ll work closely with design, engineering, and production teams in a collaborative, fast-paced, and fun environment where innovation isn’t just encouraged—it’s expected.

What You’ll Do:

  • Roll up your sleeves and operate CNC machines daily to support production and R&D efforts.
  • Work alongside industrial designers, engineers, and production leads to bring new product ideas from concept to reality.
  • Program, test, and fine-tune CNC operations using SolidWorks, AutoCAD, and Fusion 360.
  • Optimize existing CNC processes for efficiency, precision, and quality.
  • Create and maintain SOPs for CNC programming, setup, and operation.
  • Train teammates on best practices for CNC machining, tooling, and programming.
  • Analyze mechanical drawings and create technical documentation when needed.
  • Build or modify tooling and fixtures to improve workflows.
  • Manage multiple projects simultaneously while keeping a hands-on presence on the shop floor.

Why You’ll Love It Here:

  • Hands-on Innovation – This isn’t a desk job. You’ll be out on the floor running machines, experimenting, and solving real-world challenges.
  • Creative Freedom – We’re always pushing for better, faster, smarter. Your ideas won’t just be heard—they’ll be built.
  • Collaborative Culture – We’re a tight-knit team that loves working together, supporting each other, and celebrating wins big and small.
  • Fast-Paced & Fun – Things move quickly, but we make it a point to enjoy the process. Expect music in the shop, spontaneous brainstorming sessions, and plenty of problem-solving high-fives.

What You Bring:

  • 5+ years experience programming (G-code) and operating CNC machines.
  • Advanced knowledge of tooling, speeds, feeds, and machine settings—and how to use them to achieve the perfect result.
  • CAD/CAM skills with SolidWorks, AutoCAD, and/or Fusion 360.
  • A knack for identifying problems and thinking outside the box to solve them.
  • Strong attention to detail and a passion for making things work (and work better).
  • A degree in MMET or related field is a plus—but not required if you bring solid experience.

Schedule: Full-time, on-site

This role is for someone who loves to tinker, build, and innovate—and wants to be part of a team where your skills make a direct impact every single day.
