CNC/CAD/CAM Engineer

Part-Time CAD/CAM/CNC Machinist – Automotive Engineering

Brightstone Engineering is a small but ambitious machining company specialising in high-quality aftermarket automotive components. We design and manufacture products such as gearbox adapter plates, wheel spacers, hub adapters, billet diff covers and brake caliper adapters – both for white-label supply and direct-to-market sales.

We are now looking for a skilled CAD/CAM/CNC machinist to join our small team. This is an exciting opportunity to get in at the ground floor of a growing engineering business.

What you’ll be doing

*

Creating CAD/CAM models and toolpaths for CNC machining (Fusion 360 or similar).

*

Operating our Haas CNC milling machine (3-axis with 4th axis), as well as manual mills/lathes when required.

*

Assisting with prototyping, small batch runs (1–50 parts), and quality control.

*

Helping to refine manufacturing processes for efficiency, accuracy and repeatability.

*

Working on a range of aftermarket automotive parts with a strong focus on precision and finish.

What we’re looking for

*

Experience with CAD/CAM (Fusion 360 ) and CNC milling (Haas experience a bonus).

*

A strong background in precision machining, ideally within automotive, motorsport, or aerospace.

*

Ability to work independently in a small workshop environment.

*

Practical, problem-solving mindset with an eye for detail.

*

Flexibility to take on varied machining and engineering tasks as the business grows.

What we offer

*

Part-time role (2–3 days per week) with the expectation to move into a full-time position within 3–4 months.

*

Hourly rate of £30–£33 per hour, depending on experience.

*

Opportunity to grow with the company and shape future production methods.

*

Hands-on involvement in developing innovative automotive parts with high demand and strong margins.

*

A friendly, small-team environment where your input will make a real impact.

If you’re motivated by precision engineering, enjoy creating solutions from concept through to finished product, and want to be part of a business on the rise, we’d love to hear from you
