This position is responsible to set up and operate equipment/machines used to fabricate and weld components made from steel, aluminum, and stainless steel and to assure that the parts are being produced to the drawing specifications.
Responsibilities:
- Blueprint reading and specifications to determine dimensions and tolerances of finished work piece, sequence of operations, and setup requirements
- Sets-up and operate fabricating machines such as cold saw, Bridgeport mill, Shear, brake press and welders.
- De-burr, weld, grind and finish with hand tools or power driven equipment
- Verifies conformance of finished work piece to customer specifications
- Maintain clean, organized, and safe work environment following all safety standards and requirements
- Perform preventative maintenance tasks as required
Qualifications:
- High school diploma
- 3 years’ experience, Alloy experience a plus
- Blueprint reading
- Operating basic metrology instruments (tape measure, calipers, micrometers. )
- Basic math skills
