About the Role

As a Clinical Laboratory Technologist, you will:

• Perform routine and complex laboratory tests on human specimens.
• Operate and troubleshoot lab instruments while adhering to quality control procedures.
• Maintain a safe and efficient work environment.

Work Schedule

Your work hours will be 12 AM - 8:30 AM, Tuesday - Saturday, with a 17% shift differential for third shift.

Your Responsibilities

• Assess the acceptability of specimens for testing.
• Perform technical procedures according to departmental SOPs.
• Monitor and troubleshoot instrumentation.
• Make informed technical decisions regarding testing.
• Prepare and evaluate new reagents or controls.
• Report accurate test results to ensure quality patient care.
• Document preventative maintenance and quality control procedures.
• Maintain testing bench supplies and assist with specimen processing as needed.
• Ensure a safe work environment by adhering to safety protocols.

What We’re Looking For

• Bachelor's degree in Biology, Chemistry, Clinical Laboratory Science, or Medical Technology.
• Florida State Medical Technologist (MT) license is required.
• A minimum of 1 year of clinical laboratory testing experience with human specimens, or an MLS degree.
• ASCP, AMT, or ABB certification is .
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
• Proficiency with computers; familiarity with laboratory information systems is a plus.
• Strong attention to detail, communication, and organizational skills.
• Flexibility to work overtime or other shifts as needed.
