Work Schedule:

4x10s: 8:00 PM - 6:00 AM with every third weekend rotation.

Your Role and Responsibilities:

As a Clinical Laboratory Technologist, you will:

  • Determine the acceptability of specimens for testing based on established criteria.
  • Perform routine and complex technical procedures according to departmental Standard Operating Procedures.
  • Monitor, operate, and troubleshoot instrumentation to ensure proper functionality.
  • Make technical decisions regarding testing and problem-solving.
  • Prepare, test, and evaluate new reagents or controls.
  • Report accurate and timely test results to ensure quality patient care.
  • Document preventive maintenance and quality control procedures.
  • Identify and replenish testing bench supplies as necessary.
  • Assist with specimen processing when needed.
  • Maintain a safe work environment and wear appropriate personal protective equipment.

What We’re Looking For:

To succeed in this role, you should have:

  • A Bachelor’s degree in a Chemical or Biological science, Clinical Laboratory Science, Medical Technology, or a non-traditional Bachelor’s degree that meets local regulatory (CLIA & State) requirements.
  • A valid FL Medical Technologist (MT) license.
  • Previous clinical laboratory testing experience is highly .
  • ASCP or AMT certification is a plus.
  • The ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
  • Proficiency with computers; familiarity with laboratory information systems is advantageous.
  • A high level of attention to detail along with strong communication and organizational skills.
  • The ability to pass a standardized vision screen.
  • Flexibility to work overtime or other shifts based on business needs.
