Position Title: Clinical Laboratory Scientist

Location: Ukiah, CA, USA

Department/Unit: Clinical Laboratory

Shift: Evening Shift (5 x 8 hours; 3:00 PM to 11:30 PM)

Contract Duration: 26 Weeks

Salary Range: $35 - $45 per hour

Job Summary:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and skilled Clinical Laboratory Scientist to join our laboratory team in Ukiah, CA. The ideal candidate will be dedicated to providing accurate and timely laboratory results while maintaining high standards of quality and safety. This position requires the ability to work evening shifts with a rotation for every other weekend.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform a variety of laboratory tests and analyses to assist in the diagnosis and treatment of patients.
  • Ensure the accuracy and reliability of test results by following established protocols and quality control procedures.
  • Operate and maintain laboratory equipment and instruments, troubleshooting issues as necessary.
  • Collaborate with healthcare professionals to interpret laboratory results and provide recommendations.
  • Maintain accurate records of tests performed, results obtained, and quality control data.
  • Adhere to safety and infection control policies to ensure a safe working environment.
  • Participate in ongoing education and training to stay current with laboratory practices and regulations.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Medical Technology or a related field.
  • Current state licensure as a Clinical Laboratory Scientist (CLS) in California.
  • Strong knowledge of clinical laboratory procedures and techniques.
  • Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
