Since 1969, Inter Science Institute has made many research procedures and tests routinely available for clinical testing and research application. Inter Science Institute is dedicated to providing specialized Endocrinology Laboratory services to the clinician, the researcher and the patient.

We are seeking a highly motivated Part time (20-32 hours per week) CLS (Generalist or Chemistry) licensed professional, to play a pivotal role in our technical department where your primary responsibility will be reporting patient results.

Responsibilities & Duties:

• As a Clinical Laboratory Scientist II (CLS, II) at ISI, you will be conducting comprehensive pre-analytical, analytical, and post-analytical quality checks for moderate and high complexity testing.
• Rigorous monitoring of test data, quality control, quality assurance, preventive maintenance, and proficiency testing aligned with our laboratory's procedures.
• Ability to manage moderate volumes of post-analytical review and ensure accurate, timely reporting of results.
• Maintain professional growth and development, actively participate in the Department’s Quality Assurance program, and attend meetings as necessary.
• Communicates with technical team regarding the day-to-day departmental operations.
• Under supervision, monitor elements of the quality management system, turn-around-time and staff performance.
• Willingness to take on new tasks and expanded responsibilities as the role develops.
• Adheres to the highest level of patient care as defined by established standard protocols, and maintains confidentiality on all tests performed by the laboratory.

Educational Requirements:

• Bachelor’s Degree in laboratory technology or related science (B.S).
• Must have a California Clinical Laboratory Scientist (CLS) license (Generalist or Clinical Chemistry limited license)

Qualifications:

• Experience in a chemistry laboratory and familiarity with high complexity and non automated testing.
• Minimum 5 years experience as a licensed CLS in laboratory setting with progressive responsibilities.
• Good team attitude. Working knowledge of lab safety, and great attention to detail.
