Join Pride Health as a Clinical Laboratory Scientist at San Juan Capistrano, CA! This is a 4-months contract role offering a great opportunity for experience to excel in a dynamic environment.

Role: Clinical Laboratory Scientist

Location: 33608 Ortega Hwy, San Juan Capistrano, CA 92675

Shift Schedule: 
1. Thursday-Monday, 3rd Shift (8:00 PM – 4:30 AM)
2. Tuesday – Saturday, 2nd Shift (2:00 PM – 10:30 PM)

Hours per Week: 40 hours

Start Date: ASAP

Pay Highlights: $45-55/hour (Based on years of experience)

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform moderate to highly complex laboratory tests, including newly introduced assays.
• Prepare and evaluate reagents, media, stock solutions, standards, and controls.
• Assess specimen acceptability according to established criteria.
• Calculate, interpret, and accurately enter test results using manual or computerized methods.
• Review computer reports for accuracy and maintain turnaround time standards.
• Evaluate and release results, taking appropriate action on critical or unexpected findings.
• Conduct preventative maintenance, troubleshooting, calibration, and performance checks on laboratory equipment.
• Perform and evaluate Quality Control (QC) and calibration data to ensure result validity.
• Select and assess control materials, initiating corrective actions when systems deviate from established criteria.
• Accurately perform and document proficiency testing.
• Supervise and train unlicensed personnel as required.
• Maintain accurate labeling and tracking of reagents and supplies.
• Participate in staff and quality improvement meetings.
• Assist in the evaluation of new techniques, procedures, method comparisons, cost analyses, and productivity measures.
• Follow all safety, environmental, and infection control procedures.
• Maintain professional growth through continuing education that meets CA licensure requirements.

Qualifications:

Education: BS in Medical Technology or life/physical sciences from an accredited college or university.

Experience: 0–3 years direct laboratory experience

Licensure: Current California CLS (Clinical Laboratory Scientist) license required.

Note: Local candidates and travelers both are eligible

*Offered pay rate will be based on education, experience, and healthcare credit.
