Lighthouse Lab Services is representing a clinical laboratory in Macon, GA seeking a skilled and motivated Laboratory Manager to lead day-to-day operations, maintain quality standards, and ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements. This position offers the opportunity to oversee a talented team, ensure quality testing standards, and collaborate across departments to advance patient care.
Position Summary
The Laboratory Manager will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of daily laboratory operations, including quality control, equipment maintenance, and analytical assessments. This role will ensure that all procedures align with safety, compliance, and accreditation standards. The Laboratory Manager will also lead laboratory staff, manage testing, and implement efficient laboratory practices that drive operational excellence.
Role Overview
This is a hands-on leadership role requiring strong technical knowledge, organizational skills, and the ability to mentor and supervise a team. The Laboratory Manager will collaborate with other departments, medical professionals, consultants, and outside organizations to support patient care and related administrative functions.
Key Responsibilities

Oversee daily operations of the laboratory, including equipment management, quality control, and workflow optimization.

Ensure compliance with safety regulations, CAP accreditation requirements, and applicable state/federal standards.

Supervise and develop laboratory staff, fostering a high-performance culture.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to coordinate patient care and laboratory support services.

Maintain accurate records of laboratory activities and performance metrics.
Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Medical Technology or related field.

Medical Technologist certification required.

Minimum 2 years of experience in a laboratory management role .

Proficiency in quality control processes and laboratory equipment management.

Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.

Excellent organizational and leadership skills.

Knowledge of safety and regulatory requirements in a clinical laboratory setting.

Experience with CAP accreditation standards.
