Job Summary:
The Client Services Professional I role is responsible for overseeing the custody and management of securities portfolios for States Unclaimed property programs, each with millions of dollars under management. The role involves executing time-sensitive transactions in full compliance with federal securities regulations and in accordance with all applicable unclaimed property laws and contractual obligations from specific state clients, maintaining key state relationships, processing various securities-related operations, and ensuring compliance with contractually obligated timelines. The position requires a strong attention to detail and a commitment to client satisfaction in order to avoid significant revenue loss or potential contract termination.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Monitors assigned number of Unclaimed Property portfolios - State Custody Contracts.
- Monitors and facilitates day-to-day operations of all transaction orders (Buys, Sells, Transfers, cash movements) within assigned portfolios of all securities.
- Problem solving on settlement or reconcilement.
- Handles all customer communications.
- Monitors proper execution of customer instructions.
- Handles all communications with claimants and securities transfer partners.
- Performs account research related to inquires as instructed by clients.
- Manages security account histories/certificate status research as needed.
- Manages claimant processes as required.
- Maintains clear, open and respectful communications with state personnel, vendors and stock transfer agents.
- Handles finances for all accounts within assigned portfolio, including invoicing and tracking receivables.
- Continuously evaluates and identifies process improvements to day-to-day operations.
- Creates and complies reports as requested by customers or management.
- Identifies exceptions and perform research to resolution.
- Performs reconciliation of mutual fund brokerage statements received in house.
- Creates and compiles exceptions reports.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

Education and Experience:
- Experience in securities custody, Mutual Fund transaction management or financial services background is .

Work Environment:
- This role can be hybrid once training is completed.
Physical Demands:
- Must be able to remain in a stationary position for most of the day.
- Constantly operates a computer and other office productivity machinery, such as a printer/copy machine.
- This position needs to occasionally move about inside the office.
- The person in this position frequently communicates via telephone.
