KM Recruitment is a specialist UK wide recruiter for the Skills and Employability sectors.\n \n Job Title: Classroom Technician / Assistant - Multi Skills Construction\n \n Location: York - Centre based\n \n Salary: £28,000\n \n Package: Excellent Holiday Entitlement, Pension + more\n\nType: Full Time, Permanent \n \n Duties:\nWork closely with the Classroom Tutor, to ensure the construction workshop environment is clean, organised and compliant with Health and Safety regulations.\nProvide technical and practical support to learners, during lessons.\nSet up practical demonstrations and activities, alongside the Tutor.\nProvide ongoing support and guidance to learners within the classroom.\nEnsure that tools, materials and equipment are made available and organised for training sessions.\nConduct daily inventory and safety checks on tools, and ensure all tools are stored securely.\nUndertake routine maintenance and checks on tools and equipment - maintaining accurate records.Criteria:\nHold a level 2 qualification, as a minimum, within a relevant Construction trade.\nMust hold occupational experience within Multi-Skilled Construction (Plastering; Painting & Decorating; Tiling; Carpentry etc.) \nHold - or be willing to work towards - a recognised Teaching or Assessing qualification.\nMust hold own GCSEs in Maths and English at Grade C or above / Functional Skills equivalents.\nConfident and professional with the ability to inspire and motivate others.Please note:\n KM Recruitment receive a high number of applications for each role advertised and although we would like to we are not always able to deliver feedback to unsuccessful candidates.
