Key Responsibilities:

Perform site preparation tasks including grading, clearing, and compacting.

Install underground conduit for power and fiber (trenching, backfilling).

Assist in pouring concrete foundations for equipment pads, light poles, or towers.

Install grounding systems (exothermic welding, ground rings, rods, etc.).

Assemble and install equipment shelters, cabinets, or other telecom enclosures.

Operate construction tools and equipment (e.g., skid steers, trenchers, compactors).

Maintain clean and organized work sites; follow proper disposal of materials.

Assist with material handling and inventory on site.

Follow safety procedures and attend daily safety briefings/toolbox talks.

Perform basic documentation or reporting of work completed via photos or apps.

Requirements:

Education & Experience:

High school diploma or GED (required).

1–3 years of civil construction experience (telecom but not required).

Experience operating light machinery or tools (e.g., concrete mixer, trencher, power tools).

Skills & Competencies:

Ability to work outdoors in various conditions and perform physically demanding labor.

Basic knowledge of civil construction methods and tools.

Team-oriented with good communication and work ethic.

Willingness to travel and work overtime when needed.

Ability to follow instructions, construction drawings, and safety protocols

Certifications (can be obtained on the job):

OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 Certification

First Aid / CPR

Competent Person (Trenching & Excavation)

Forklift or skid steer certification

Valid driver’s license (CDL is a plus)

Working Conditions:

Field work in all weather conditions.

Must be able to lift 50 - 75 lbs. regularly.

Frequent bending, digging, trenching, and manual labor.

Travel to different wireless sites (local, regional, or nationwide depending on employer).
