Job Title: Civil Survey Drafter

Position Overview: We are looking for a detail-oriented and technically proficient Civil Survey Drafter to assist in creating accurate and comprehensive drawings and plans for civil engineering and surveying projects. The ideal candidate will possess strong drafting skills, an understanding of civil engineering concepts, and experience with survey data interpretation.

Key Responsibilities:

• Drafting and Design:
  • Prepare detailed and accurate civil engineering drawing using AutoCAD Civil 3D and other drafting software.
  • Convert survey data into precise and clear drawings that adhere to project specifications and standards.
  • Develop and maintain project drawings, ensuring all updates and revisions are accurately documented.
• Survey Data Interpretation:
  • Review and interpret field survey data, including topographic, boundary, and utility surveys.
  • Collaborate with surveyors to ensure correct representation of survey data in project drawings.
• Collaboration and Communication:
  • Work closely with civil engineers, surveyors, and project managers to understand project requirements and provide drafting support.
  • Participate in project meetings and contribute to discussions on design modifications and improvements.
• Quality Control:
  • Conduct quality checks on drawings and documents to ensure accuracy and compliance with project standards.
  • Address and resolve any drafting errors or discrepancies promptly.
• Documentation and Record-Keeping:
  • Maintain organized records of all drafting work and project revisions.
  • Assist in preparing documentation for project submissions, including permit applications and client reports.

Qualifications:

• Experience:
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in drafting within the civil engineering or surveying industry.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD and other drafting software (e.g., Civil 3D)
  • Construction staking and as-built drawings a requirement
  • Processing of ALTA and Topographic surveys

• Skills:
  • Strong understanding of civil engineering principles and surveying techniques.
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in drafting work.
  • Ability to interpret and work with complex survey data.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills.
  • Effective communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
