Trillium Construction is now hiring an experienced Civil Superintendent for a full-time, direct hire opportunity with a reputable commercial excavating contractor based in Kissimmee, Florida.
Our client specializes in comprehensive site work services for general contractors, owners, and developers. Their expertise includes mass grading, underground utilities, fire lines, erosion control, curb repair, asphalt overlay, stamping, and more.
The Civil Superintendent will be responsible for leading field operations on commercial site development projects, ensuring work is completed safely, efficiently, and according to plan. This role is ideal for a hands-on leader with a strong background in earthwork and utility installation.
Key Responsibilities:
Supervise all phases of grading, excavation, and utility installation on active job sites
Coordinate daily with project managers, engineers, and subcontractors to maintain project schedules
Direct crews including operators, laborers, and subcontractors to ensure quality and safety standards
Interpret blueprints, grading plans, and site specifications for field execution
Evaluate site conditions and adjust work plans to address unforeseen issues
Monitor labor, materials, and equipment usage to ensure adherence to project budgets
Enforce site safety practices and lead daily safety briefings and inspections
Provide regular updates to project stakeholders and ensure alignment with scope and deadlines
Compensation & Benefits:
Annual salary up to $120,000, depending on experience

Qualifications:
5+ years of experience in civil site development, with 2+ years in a supervisory role
Proven ability to manage crews and subcontractors on active job sites
Strong understanding of site utilities, erosion control, and grading best practices
Ability to read blueprints, grading plans, and survey reports
OSHA 30 certification
Familiarity with GPS-enabled grading equipment is a plus
Ability to lift 50+ lbs and work in all outdoor conditions
