Civil / Structural Engineer\n\nLondon (Hybrid Working)\n\n Competitive Salary + Benefits\n\nAn expanding engineering consultancy specialising in infrastructure, power and energy projects is looking to appoint a Civil / Structural Engineer to join their growing team.\n\nThis role offers the opportunity to work on a diverse portfolio of projects across the power, energy and rail sectors, supporting the design and delivery of critical infrastructure across the UK.\n\nThe successful candidate will work within a multidisciplinary team delivering civil and structural solutions from concept through to construction.\n\nThe Role\n\nYou will contribute to the design and delivery of civil and structural engineering projects, supporting key infrastructure developments within the power, energy and rail sectors.\n\nKey responsibilities include:\n\nUndertaking civil and structural design for infrastructure projects including substation buildings, transformer foundations, gantries, equipment plinths and cable management systems\n\nSupporting the delivery of highways and drainage packages in coordination with the wider civil engineering team\n\nPreparing and reviewing calculations, drawings, specifications and design documentation\n\nEnsuring designs comply with relevant UK standards and sector requirements including Eurocodes, BS EN standards, and relevant power or rail sector specifications\n\nParticipating in design reviews, technical assurance and quality checks\n\nEnsuring Health & Safety and CDM requirements are embedded throughout the design process\n\nSupporting projects through all stages from feasibility and concept design through to detailed design and construction support\n\nCollaboration & Project Delivery\n\nWork closely with civil, structural, geotechnical and electrical engineers to deliver integrated infrastructure solutions\n\nContribute to technical discussions and knowledge sharing within the engineering team\n\nAssist in coordinating design activities across multiple project disciplines\n\nClient Interaction\n\nSupport communication with clients, contractors and project stakeholders\n\nContribute to delivering technically robust and efficient design solutions\n\nIdentify opportunities to improve efficiency, sustainability and innovation in project delivery\n\nRequirements\n\nDegree (BEng / MEng) in Civil or Structural Engineering\n\n2+ years’ experience within a design consultancy environment\n\nCurrently working towards Chartership with ICE or IStructE\n\nStrong understanding of UK design codes and engineering standards\n\nExperience using structural analysis or design software such as Tekla TEDDS, Robot or similar tools\n\nStrong problem-solving skills with a practical engineering mindset\n\nPersonal Attributes\n\nTechnically capable with a solution-focused approach to engineering challenges\n\nStrong communication skills and ability to collaborate within project teams\n\nMotivated to deliver safe, efficient and sustainable infrastructure designs\n\nA UK driving licence is desirable for occasional site visits and inspections\n\nWhat’s On Offer\n\nOpportunity to join a growing consultancy delivering critical UK infrastructure projects\n\nInvolvement in projects supporting the UK’s transition to sustainable energy\n\nCompetitive salary and benefits package\n\nSupport towards professional chartership\n\nCollaborative team culture with clear opportunities for career development\n\nPlease contact me on (url removed) to discuss further
