Civil Project Engineer II
A full-service civil engineering firm is seeking a dedicated Civil Project Engineer II to join their team in either Woodbridge, VA or Fairfax, VA. This role involves assisting team members in all phases of projects with a focus on developing design.
Responsibilities
Support the development of site designs on various land development projects using AutoCAD and Civil 3D software.
Lead the development of design and technical documents through all project phases, optimizing design efficiencies using Civil 3D.
Assist in designing efforts for water and sanitary sewer systems and subdivision plans, preparing construction drawings and coordinating with internal production staff to meet project deadlines.
Participate in site development projects including layout, grading, geometry, utilities, and storm drainage for commercial, institutional, infrastructure, and transportation projects.
Engage in planning studies, preliminary and final design plan production, and project permitting.
Develop erosion and sediment control plans and design measures in accordance with state criteria.
Perform quality assurance and quality control on personal work.
Assist in training and developing junior staff members.
Essential Skills
Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related discipline.
2-6+ years of experience in land development design projects (stormwater management, site grading, erosion & sediment control).
Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D.
Experience developing construction documents.
EIT certification and/or PE License is or plans to obtain it.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Experience working on local projects in Northern VA - DMV is .
Strong skills in civil engineering, land development, site development, stormwater management design, grading, drainage, and sediment control.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $90000.00 - $120000.00/hr.
