Job DescriptionJob DescriptionOur client, a highly respected and well-established law firm with deep roots in Northeast Ohio, is seeking a Civil Litigation Attorney to join their growing legal team based in Canton, OH. With nearly 60 years of service and a reputation for excellence, this firm offers a rare opportunity for an ambitious litigator to gain immediate, hands-on experience in a supportive, trial-focused environment.
As a Civil Litigation Attorney, you will work alongside a seasoned team of trial lawyers, representing clients in complex civil and business litigation matters. From day one, you’ll be involved in every stage of litigation—from pleadings and discovery to depositions, trial prep, and courtroom appearances. This position primarily operates out of the Canton office, with occasional work at one of the firm’s six satellite locations throughout Northeast Ohio, or work from home.
Key Responsibilities:

• Represent clients in state and federal courts on a range of civil litigation matters
• Manage business disputes involving contracts, trade secrets, non-competes, and corporate conflicts
• Conduct depositions, coordinate expert witnesses, and oversee discovery
• Draft and argue motions, prepare for trial, and appear in hearings
• Contribute to the continued growth of the litigation practice
• Collaborate with a multi-disciplinary legal team across offices

Qualifications:

• 3–5 years of civil litigation experience in Ohio state and federal courts (less experience will be considered)
• Background in employment or business litigation
• Proven success managing complex caseloads and meeting tight deadlines
• Strong courtroom advocacy and motion practice experience
• Licensed to practice law in Ohio; J.D. from an accredited law school
