Job DescriptionJob Description

A well-established heavy civil contractor in the greater King/Snohomish County seeks a Civil Estimator to support pursuits in mass grading, underground utilities, and structural concrete across public and private work. We value initiative, honesty, integrity, and a strong team mindset.

What you’ll do

• Review plans/specs, perform detailed takeoffs, and build estimates in an industry-standard platform (e.g., HCSS/HeavyBid or similar)
• Translate 3D takeoff outputs (e.g., Agtek or comparable) into quantities and production rates
• Prepare proposals, track bids, follow up with owners/GCs, and support turnover to operations
• Collaborate with subcontractors and suppliers; scope, level, and negotiate quotes
• Contribute to scheduling concepts (e.g., MS Project or similar) and value-engineering ideas

What you bring

• 5+ years of civil/earthwork estimating or a well-referenced track record in a related role
• Fluency with digital takeoff tools (Bluebeam or equivalent) and production-based estimating
• Skilled in Heavy Bid, understanding of Agtek reports and MS project
• Strong grasp of earthwork/utility units of measure and cost drivers
• Proven communication with owners, subcontractors, and suppliers
• Organized, detail-driven, and effective in a close-knit team environment
• BS in Construction Management () or equivalent experience
• Business development/networking comfort is a plus
