Position Overview:

Quality "Plus" Services is seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Civil Estimator to join our growing team. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in civil construction projects involving grading, drainage, base and paving, and underground utilities. This role requires strong skills in reading civil plans, preparing take-offs, and estimating projects independently using industry-leading software.

Key Responsibilities:

• Review and interpret civil construction plans and specifications.

• Prepare detailed and accurate cost estimates for projects including grading, drainage, base & paving, and underground utilities.

• Perform quantity take-offs and earthwork estimating using Maxwell Systems, Viewpoint, or similar software.

• Develop bids using HCSS Heavy Bid or comparable bidding programs.

• Collaborate with project teams to understand project scope and objectives.

• Identify potential risks and cost-saving opportunities in projects.

• Manage multiple bids and deadlines with minimal supervision.

• Stay updated on industry trends, labor rates, and material costs.

Qualifications:

• Proven experience as a Civil Estimator in civil construction.

• Proficient in reading and interpreting civil plans and specifications.

• Experience with HCSS Heavy Bid, Maxwell Systems Estimation, Viewpoint, or similar estimating software.

• Strong analytical and mathematical skills.

• Exceptional attention to detail and organizational abilities.

• Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects efficiently.

• Excellent communication skills.

Qualifications:

• Construction Management, or related field (or equivalent experience).

• Knowledge of local codes and construction regulations.
