Wilson Engineers is an Arizona-based firm with a staff of more than 200 personnel specializing in water and wastewater engineering and construction management services. We are seeking an Civil Engineering - Water/Wastewater to join our team. This position is part-time, approximately 16 - 20 hours per week in our Tempe office.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Maintains and documents communication with clients through letters and telephone throughout the development and completion of a project.

Monitors team members progress and advises team members of schedules and deadlines.

Reviews schedules and budgets relative to project progress and completion.

Conducts project status review checking accuracy of work completed and monitors timeliness of project completion.

Attends meetings on project management.

Assists Project Managers with any administrative duties concerning completion of assigned project.

Maintains project file.

Assists Project Manager in preparation of engineering studies and reports.

Provide technical guidance and training to members of the project team.

Provide project design using sound engineering principles, engineering software, and AutoCAD.

Assists in preparation of contract documents and technical specifications.

Assists Project Manager in assuring quality control procedures are performed.

Assist in preparation of project drawings.

Performs necessary code research.

Responsible for the accuracy of each segment of the work and the final check of the work.

Responsible for adherence to all applicable codes.

Performs other duties as assigned.

Requirements

Must be currently enrolled in a Bachelor of Science degree program in Civil Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or Environmental Engineering

(sorry, no other majors will be considered)at an ABET-accredited university

Must be interested in pursuing a career in Water/Wastewater

Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal skills

Strong sense of urgency and self-initiative to meet client deadlines

Detail-oriented team player with the ability to contribute to a positive work environment

Valid driver's license with approved/acceptable driving history

Familiarity with MicroStation and/or AutoCAD platforms
