Civil Engineering Project Manager
to join their Chicago office. This is a direct hire opportunity offering a dynamic work environment, a diverse range of projects, and significant involvement in the company's strategic direction.
Position Overview:
As a Civil Engineering Project Manager, you will lead multidisciplinary teams on a variety of public and private sector projects including residential, commercial, and industrial site development, roadway and trail design, stormwater modeling, green infrastructure, and capital improvement projects. This role offers meaningful collaboration and career advancement opportunities in a team-focused culture.
Key Responsibilities:
Oversee and manage civil engineering projects from concept through completion
Perform civil engineering plan reviews and ensure quality control
Serve as a point of contact for clients, contractors, and regulatory agencies
Prepare reports and technical documentation
Lead internal staff, mentor junior engineers, and manage project teams
Maintain budgets, schedules, and project deliverables
Support business development efforts and proposal preparation
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering
7-10 years of relevant experience
Professional Engineer (P.E.) license required
Proven experience managing site development and infrastructure projects
Excellent communication, organization, and leadership skills
Ability to manage multiple ongoing projects in a fast-paced environment
Team-oriented with strong problem-solving abilities
