We are looking for a talented Civil Engineer with expertise in land development to join our team. This role will involve designing and managing projects related to residential, commercial, and industrial site development, including grading, drainage, stormwater management, and utility design. The ideal candidate should have strong technical knowledge, experience with permitting processes, and the ability to collaborate with clients and regulatory agencies.

Key Responsibilities

  • Site Planning & Design: Develop site layouts, grading, drainage, and stormwater management plans for land development projects.
  • Permitting & Compliance: Prepare and submit permit applications while ensuring compliance with zoning, environmental, and municipal regulations.
  • Utility Design: Design water, sewer, and stormwater infrastructure for new developments and coordinate with utility providers.
  • Project Coordination: Work with surveyors, architects, environmental consultants, and contractors to ensure seamless project execution.
  • Construction Support: Provide technical guidance during the construction phase, review shop drawings, and address field issues.
  • Client & Stakeholder Engagement: Collaborate with developers, municipalities, and regulatory agencies to facilitate project approvals and success.
  • Technical Documentation: Prepare engineering reports, specifications, and calculations to support project designs and submissions.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or a related field.
  • Experience: 3–7 years of experience in land development, site civil engineering, or infrastructure projects.
  • Licensure: EIT required; PE or the ability to obtain it.
  • Technical Skills:
    • Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D, HydroCAD, StormCAD, or similar engineering software.
    • Strong understanding of grading, drainage, stormwater management, and utility design.
    • Familiarity with local, state, and federal land development regulations and permitting processes.
  • Soft Skills:
    • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
    • Effective communication and collaboration skills.
    • Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.

Qualifications

  • Experience working on residential and commercial land development projects.
  • Knowledge of GIS, BIM, or other civil engineering technology.
  • Familiarity with sustainable design and low-impact development (LID) practices.
