Compensation: $24-26/hour

EFK Moen, LLC, is a civil engineering design consulting firm headquartered in St. Louis, Missouri with additional office locations in St. Charles, Missouri, Chicago and Fairview Heights, Illinois, and Atlanta, Georgia. We are seeking civil engineering interns for full-time positions in our Chicago, IL office for Summer 2026. Our company offers a locally competitive salary and comprehensive benefit package.

Job Description:

The purpose of the Intern position is to provide, under the direction of a supervisor/mentor(s), the opportunity to perform civil engineering design in a team-oriented environment. Intern assignments will pertain to transportation engineering for both public and private sectors and will range in scope. Students that intern should have an expressed interest in transportation, bridge, highway, or traffic design.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Assist with daily production of civil engineering design plans
• Performs other job duties as assigned

Knowledge/Qualifications, Skills & Abilities:

• Enrolled in a University, Technical or Community College Civil Engineering program
• Capability to perform mathematical computations/calculations
• High level of personal integrity, ethics, and professionalism
• Strong verbal and written communication skills

Physical Qualifications:

• Ability to sit at a desk for extended periods of time
• Ability to type and/or use a computer for extended periods of time
• Sufficient visual ability to focus attention on extended use of electronic documents and software
