The Role

Job Summary

We are hiring an entry-level Structural/Civil Engineer - Project Manager for our Miami, FL location.

Responsibilities and Duties

Coordinate and manage project meetings at various stages.

Collaborate with teams to understand project scope, budget, goals, deliverables, and timelines.

Review drawings, plans, and specifications.

Ensure schedules and project plans are adhered to by all resources.

Review and approve change orders.

Conduct on-site inspections, document conditions, perform field testing, and observe work progress.

Maintain organized project records and files.

Prepare correspondence with clients, attorneys, contractors, etc.

Develop investigation reports and bid documents, including drawings and technical specs.

Estimate costs through field measurements and drawing take-offs.

Design structural/civil details and plans.

Engage in business development activities, including marketing events and cross-office collaborations.

Perform other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Education

Bachelors degree in Structural/Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related field. A Masters degree is a plus.

Work Experience

Minimum of two years experience or equivalent education and training.

Licenses and Certifications

Engineering (EI) Certification or ability to obtain within 6 months.

OSHA 10-hour certification.

Valid Drivers License (unrestricted).

Skills

Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.

Strong organizational abilities and multitasking skills.

Professional interaction with clients and colleagues.

Willingness to attend meetings and events as needed.

Proficiency in AutoCAD or similar software.

Ability to work independently and collaboratively.

Willingness to travel and work in the field.

Ability to read construction drawings.

Knowledge of Florida Building Code, ACI, ASTM, etc., is a plus.

Physical ability to lift/carry up to 40 lbs and work safely at heights using scaffolding, ladders, etc.
