Job Title: Civil Engineer
Location: Toms River, New Jersey
Compensation: $120,000 - $145,000 annually, depending on experience
Position Overview:
We are seeking a skilled and motivated Civil Engineer to join our growing team in Toms River, NJ. This is a unique opportunity for a self-driven professional to lead multidisciplinary site development projects within a dynamic, startup-like environment. Minimum Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering from an accredited institution

Active Professional Engineer (P.E.) license in the state of New Jersey (significant plus)

Minimum 5 years of civil engineering experience, including leadership roles on residential, educational, commercial, and/or light industrial projects

Proven ability to lead multidisciplinary site development projects

Proficient in AutoCAD and other civil engineering design software

Strong knowledge of zoning, permitting, and land development regulations in Ocean County and surrounding areas
Leadership & Team Development:
-
Demonstrated ability to lead and mentor junior engineers and technical staff

Comfortable collaborating with developers, architects, consultants, and municipal agencies

Interest and capability to help build and manage an engineering team of up to 10 members in a fast-paced environment
Project & Communication Skills:
-
Expertise in site planning, grading & drainage design, utility layout, and stormwater management

Ability to manage project timelines, coordinate with multidisciplinary teams, and deliver results under tight deadlines

Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including technical report writing and client presentations
Qualifications:

Experience working directly with real estate developers or in a development-focused engineering firm

Master’s degree in Civil Engineering or a related discipline
