Position OverviewWe are seeking a skilled and motivated Civil Engineer – Land Development to join our team. In this role, you will take projects from concept through construction, working closely with our survey, design, and permitting teams to produce innovative, cost-effective, and compliant engineering solutions.
Key Responsibilities· Lead engineering design for residential, commercial, and mixed-use land development projects.· Prepare grading, drainage, roadway, and utility plans using AutoCAD Civil 3D and HydroCAD.· Create stormwater management plans, hydrology reports, and erosion control designs in compliance with local and state regulations.· Oversee permitting processes with Pierce County, City of Puyallup, and other Washington agencies.· Collaborate with survey crews, architects, contractors, and municipal reviewers to ensure project success.· Conduct site inspections, resolve field issues, and provide construction administration support.
Qualifications· Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or related field.· Engineer-in-Training (EIT) certification required; PE license .· 3+ years of land development experience (Washington State experience ).· Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D; knowledge of HydroCAD, HEC-RAS, and ArcGIS a plus.· Strong understanding of local codes, stormwater regulations, and permitting processes.· Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
