Integrity is an industry leading environmental/civil firm providing a variety of services for the nation’s largest solid waste companies. We have built our reputation by delivering high-quality work products to our long-standing clients and stakeholders through our dedication to partnership, creative problem-solving and reliable performance. We are currently initiating a search for a senior to mid-level engineer to help grow our solid waste practice in Virginia and the Mid-Atlantic. The Opportunity
Integrity is seeking a Mid-level to Senior Environmental or Civil Engineer/Solid Waste Consultant for our Richmond, VA Office. The selected candidate will help manage and lead projects in the solid waste sector involving landfill gas system design; permitting and compliance; operations, maintenance, and monitoring; renewable natural gas; solid waste and gas system construction; and construction quality assurance. Periodic travel is required based on project demands.
Responsibilities
- Managing large solid waste projects in the Mid-Atlantic
- Managing, mentoring and supervising project teams
- Develop and prepare proposals, schedules, and budgets
- Understand and implement local, state and federal rules and regulations throughout all project work
- Develop and maintain client relationships
- Coordinate tasks and scheduling effectively
- Coordinate with vendors and sub-consultants
- Preparing design plans and specifications, reports, data analysis, and compliance tasks as needed
Qualifications
- Minimum Bachelors of Science degree in Engineering
- PE registration in VA & NC
- 10 years plus experience specific to landfills and/or solid waste industry.
- Experience in the practice of engineering design
- Experience in any of the following areas of practice; design and construction quality assurance for solid waste containment and/or landfill gas collection systems
- Preparing permitting documents for solid waste facilities, landfill gas compliance and management, preparing fill sequence and master plans for solid waste facilities (experience in more than one area )
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint software
- Ability to work both independently and within groups
- Excellent work history with leadership abilities and a positive attitude
- Candidate must interact well with the public and clients and have excellent teamwork skills
- Successfully pass a pre-employment (post offer) drug screen, background check, and motor vehicle records checks
