Job DescriptionJob Description

We are seeking a dedicated and strategic Construction Materials Department Manager to lead and expand our materials testing and laboratory operations. This leadership role emphasizes growth, innovation, and business development, requiring a proactive approach to marketing and client engagement.

Qualifications & Skills:

• - Professional Engineer (PE) license is required.
• - Must hold a degree in Civil Engineering (other disciplines will not be considered).
• - Minimum of 5+ years of experience in senior project management roles; 8+ years as an Associate Principal; 12+ years as a Principal—candidates within these experience brackets will be considered.

Education & Certifications:

• - Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering from an ABET-accredited institution is required.
• - Master’s degree in Civil Engineering from an ABET-accredited institution is .

Key Responsibilities:

• - Oversee the complete lifecycle of field services engineering projects and laboratory operations, ensuring efficiency and quality.
• - Lead, mentor, and manage a team of CMT engineers, project managers, and technicians to achieve departmental goals.
• - Ensure all projects comply with industry best practices, safety standards, and quality control protocols.
• - Conduct technical reviews of proposals, reports, and calculations to maintain accuracy and integrity.
• - Manage departmental budgets, monitor revenue, forecast financial performance, and optimize profitability.
• - Set strategic goals for the CMT and Field Services teams; foster staff development through training and professional growth initiatives.
• - Support business development efforts by engaging with the community and building strong client relationships.
• - Promote a positive company culture, uphold core values, and encourage high levels of employee engagement.
• - Additional duties include project oversight, report review, proposal preparation, departmental P&L management, and assisting senior leadership in marketing efforts.
