Description and Purpose: Locally owned and operated civil engineering firm is looking for a responsible, reliable, self-starting civil engineer to oversee land development and subdivision design projects in the greater El Paso area. Ideal candidate would have 3+ years of experience working on land development and site design projects, have strong proficiency in CAD platforms (especially AutoCAD) and have an excellent ability to work with a team and take the lead on projects. Strong leadership and communication skills are a must. PE License , or EIT registration if candidate is pursuing a PE License within 2 years maximum. The position is open to the possibility of offering profit sharing and/or company stock ownership for suitable candidates.

Qualifications & Skills Required:

  • Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering.
  • 2-3 years of experience with land development, subdivision design, civil design and working with appropriate agencies for approvals
  • EIT registration .
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD, as well as relevant software programs which may include AutoCAD Civil 3D, StormCAD, WaterCAD, and SewerCAD.
  • Excellent leadership skills and ability to manage and coordinate with a team.
  • Ability to execute project work on multiple projects at the same time and ability to change focus quickly
  • Familiar with the production of construction documents including plan and profile sheets, site plans, cross sections, notes, etc.
  • Relevant project design elements include grading, drainage, utilities, and roadways.
  • Understanding of codes, legal and design requirements in El Paso and surrounding areas .
  • Excellent communications skills, both in oral and written skills
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills
  • Self-starter
