Position: Civil Engineer

Location: Cardiff

Salary: £30,000 - £40,000

With over 30 years of industry presence, they are now seeking a Civil Engineer to join their growing team due to continued project success and a strong project pipeline.

This is an excellent opportunity for an ambitious Civil Engineer looking to take the next step in their career and join a forward-thinking consultancy, working alongside and learning from Chartered Civil Engineers within the business on a diverse range of projects.

Job Overview

Assist in the design and delivery of civil engineering schemes across multiple sectors

Focus on drainage and infrastructure design for planning and technical approval stages

Deliver projects typically ranging from £4M-£15M in value

Work across residential developments, education facilities, commercial refurbishments, and heritage conversions

Coordinate designs with internal structural teams and external consultants

Ensure compliance with adoptable standards including SuDS, Section 104, 106, and 278

Attend design meetings and support client liaison throughout project lifecycles

Contribute to a collaborative team environment and continuous improvement culture

Job Requirements

Minimum of 1 year experience within a UK-based consultancy

Degree in Civil Engineering (Master's but not essential)

Proficient in drainage and infrastructure design (foul & surface water)

Experience with Section 104, 106, and 278 agreements

Working knowledge of MicroDrainage, Civil 3D, or PDS

Ambitious to work toward Chartership and develop professionally

Based within a commutable distance to Cardiff, or open to relocation

Salary & Benefits

Salary: £30,000 - £40,000
