About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Civil Engineer to perform design and technical work on aviation infrastructure projects. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in civil design, task management, and CAD software, with the ability to coordinate multidisciplinary teams and deliver high-quality engineering solutions for public and private sector clients.
Key Responsibilities
· Perform engineering design tasks for aviation-related civil projects.
· Prepare and develop contract documents including plans, specifications, and cost estimates.
· Coordinate and lead project meetings with internal and external stakeholders.
· Maintain and improve department quality control standards and procedures.
· Analyze survey reports, maps, blueprints, and other topographic/geologic data for project planning.
· Conduct design computations and ensure accuracy and compliance with industry standards.
· Manage or coordinate project sub-consultants and in-house support disciplines.
Requirements
Required Qualifications
· Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or related field from an accredited program.
· Professional Engineer (PE) License or equivalent.
· 4–8 years of experience in civil design, preferably in aviation projects.
· Experience in task management and project coordination.
· Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D and/or Bentley Open Roads Designer / MicroStation.
· Strong skills in construction cost estimation and technical specification writing.
· Proficient in Microsoft Office suite.
Qualifications
· Knowledge of FAA Advisory Circulars, Engineering Briefs, and Orders.
· Experience with DoD Unified Facilities Criteria.
· Familiarity with project management principles (scheduling, budgeting, and documentation).
· Prior supervisory or project lead experience.
· Road/Highway design experience is a plus.
