We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Civil Engineer to join our growing team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and managing a wide range of public and private projects, including site development, water This role requires technical expertise, proficiency in design software, and strong project management capabilities.
Key Responsibilities

Design and Planning: Develop detailed engineering designs, plans, specifications, and cost estimates for projects, ensuring compliance with local, state, and federal codes and regulations.

Project Management: Oversee projects from conception through completion, managing timelines, budgets, and resources effectively.

Site Development: Perform site inspections, geotechnical investigations, environmental assessments, and feasibility studies.

Infrastructure Focus: Design drainage systems, stormwater management plans, utility layouts, roadways, and grading plans.

Permitting and Compliance: Prepare and submit necessary documentation and technical reports to governmental agencies to secure project approvals and permits.

Collaboration: Work collaboratively with architects, contractors, government officials, and other engineers to ensure project goals are met.

Software Proficiency: Utilize Civil 3D, AutoCAD, and other specialized software for design, modeling, and analysis.

Quality Control: Review and approve construction plans, submittals, and inspection reports to ensure design specifications are accurately implemented in the field.
Qualifications

Education: Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering from an ABET-accredited university. Master's degree is a plus.

Experience: 5 years of professional experience in civil engineering design and project management.

Licensure: Professional Engineer (PE) license in the state of Michigan.

Technical Skills: Expert proficiency in AutoCAD and AutoCAD Civil 3D. Experience with hydrology/hydraulic modeling software (e.g., HEC-RAS, StormCAD) is a plus.

Regulatory Knowledge: Deep understanding of local zoning codes, environmental regulations, and construction standards (e.g., DOT, local Public Works standards).

Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills for technical report writing, client presentations, and team coordination.
