Project Engineer - Land Development and Design
Job Title: Project Engineer (Land Development and Design)
Shift/Hours: Monday - Friday, 9:00 AM - 5:30 PM
Pay Range: 70 -120K+
Requirements
Ideal Candidates who have 3-5 Years of Experience:
- Must have a B.S. in Civil Engineering from an accredited university.
- Would preferably have EIT Certification, but not required.
- Must have experience in designing, preparing, and processing land development applications.
- Must have experience in Northern Virginia jurisdictions.
- Should have experience with Commercial, Residential, and Mixed-use projects.
- Must have the ability to make well-informed design decisions based on their knowledge of civil engineering concepts and locality requirements.
- Must have proficiency with AutoCAD, Civil 3D, and Microsoft Office.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Must have the ability to make well-informed design decisions based on civil engineering concepts and locality requirements.
- Understands and actively contributes to the preparation of full sets of construction plans.
- Must be detail-oriented to ensure excellence across all work products submitted to Project Managers.
Typical Duties Will Include, but not limited to:
- Drafting of CAD drawings and details for site and subdivision plans.
- Site Layout and Utility design
- Horizontal and vertical design of roadways.
- Preparation of erosion and sediment control plans.
- Generating hydrologic computations for SWM facilities.
- Performing pavement design computations.
- Performing site distance analysis.
- Preparing site work quantity take-offs.
- Coordination with internal and external engineers, architects, etc.
