Civil Engineer

My client, an innovative, eco-conscious Multidisciplinary Consultancy is searching for a Civil Engineer with a focus on Flood Risk and Drainage to join their diverse team of engineering and design specialists, near the lively, richly-cultural city of Liverpool.



Essential Criteria:



An Initial or Higher Degree in Civil Engineering, Hydrology, or similar relevant discipline

A specific interest in flood risk and drainage

Demonstrable experience of having worked in a design-based role within a consultancy

Experience of working with flood risk and drainage strategies, including Sustainable Drainage Systems (SuDS) and Flood Risk Assessments (FRAs)

Good working knowledge of the relevant Section Agreements (including S38, S104, S106, etc.)

Competent in the use of Flood Modeller, InfoDrainage, and a range of similar software packages

The ability to work on your own initiative and as part of a team



It would also be beneficial for applicants for the role of Civil Engineer to have the following:



Excellent literacy and numeracy skills, particularly when applied to report writing

An analytical mindset

Developing flood risk and drainage strategies for a diverse selection of projects

Working with the wider team to ensure project goals are delivered to the highest standard, within given timeframes and budgetary restrictions

Undertaking technical analysis using a range of software packages

Preparing and issuing accurate technical information regarding projects, including drawings, calculations, and models

Liaising with a range of stakeholders across the public and private sectors

Contributing to and carrying out site meetings and inspections

Developing and maintaining client and stakeholder relations
